Diary

1)Friendship💝
Friends are the best mirrors of a person. In fact, the circle of friends you choose to stay with does define your personality and priorities. I am fortunate enough to have the best ever friends in my company. Arwa is my best friend. Not only she is my best friend but she is my class fellow as well. She is, in fact, a kind, gentle and sincere individual. I have been through ups and downs since I meet her three years ago. I have learned a lot from my mistakes and from my failures. I never regard my failure as a curse rather an opportunity to improve and to improvise. I myself regard life as a total pot of opportunities. For every problem, there is a solution. I regard life as a blessing gift to humanity.

I feel one of the main reasons why I formed such a bond with my best friend was because of the qualities she possesses. I feel the quality that appeals to me the most is her compassion. Whether it's towards humans or animals, she always keeps the same approach. Her sociable and lovely traits made her easy to be approached.

In short, the bond I share with my best friend is one of my most prized possessions. Both of us inspire each other to become better humans. We push each other to do our best and we are always there in need. A best friend is indeed a precious gem and I am fortunate to found that gem of my life.

2)My Graduation Day🎓

Many people around the world consider their college graduation day as a milestone, and rightfully so. It is, after all, consolidation of decades of hard work and sacrifice. To an extent, I thought of it as the beginning of the realization of my goals. I remember my ultimate goals choose Al- Quran College is to memorize the Quran. However, Al- Quran College was not my first choice. But, since my ultimate goals were very clear at that time, I ready to further my education at any place that required the student to memorize the Quran.

Due to the pandemic situation, only two guesses allowed to enter the hall of graduation day. I went there with my parents. I am wearing the dress that my mom bought on my last sem. My mom is very enthusiastic to celebrate my graduation day. Sometimes, I felt guilty and fear if I cannot give the best since they support me fully along the journey with my diploma in 3 years. At first, I cannot attend my graduation day on 4th April since I am at International Islamic University Malaysia. But then, one of the staff of my college called me several weeks before the day, to make sure I am present on that day. I was told that I will be received an award, so it is compulsory for me to attend the event. It is such an honor for me to fulfill the last request from my beloved college to attend the event.

3)During My Convocation Day💐

Speeches were made by various figures: the guest of honor, the administration, and so on. In addition, Chief Minister of Terengganu,
YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Samsuri Bin Mokhtar also gave everyone in the hall a special blessing for our upcoming learning journey in bachelor. We were asked to line up beside the stage and wait for our turn to go to the stage, where we will receive a diploma. Everyone was very excited. I am glad I found a true friend and mentor in him. After that, I felt the wave of unexplainable sadness take over me. Sad that I will leave my college lecturer forever, along with Sheikh Hassan as my mentor. Happy, however, over the fact that it is now my turn to make a difference in the world.

Although the venue was packed, I found my family by the stage as my name was called. I happily received my college diploma, the proof of all the years of my hard work. I was all smiles for the photographs and videos being taken, and I can only hope that they all look good! I need to remember this graduation day well for the rest of my life. By the end of it, many of us were wiping tears away. I looked and caught the eye of my friends, who smiled at me sadly. A lot of things will change - life after college will definitely be different, especially when it comes to friendship. I hope we stay the same, though.

4)The Farewell👋

My friends and I went on our way to find each other. We chit-chatted about the past brought back a sense of nostalgia, despite feeling elated that I have finally conquered the hell that is college. We decided to settle on our favorite spot, a little hidden garden in front of the mosque. Even though I have been through one of the most challenging times of my life, I realized that I will miss all of that. I will never get those days back again, and although the thought is sad, I have my entire life facing me now. It is now time to make my mark in the world!✊

5)Sister

The only sister that I have, Norsyamimi. For 22 years now (a.k.a my whole life), I’ve shared a room with my sister so we’ve always been close. Like most sisters, we’ve gone through different stages–from playmates to besties to enemies to shopping partners to travel buddies and so on and so forth. Of course, it wasn’t always rainbows and butterflies between us. We’ve had our fair share of fights and tears through the years. But even so, I can honestly say she’s always been there for me–cheering me on, supporting me in all my endeavours and even sacrificing her time and energy to help me with my projects that don’t benefit her in any way.

I wish I can make her see what I see in her because in my eyes, she’s a superwoman–smart, beautiful, and able to do anything she puts her mind to. To my dearest Kakok, I believe in you. Don’t forget to believe in yourself too. Have faith that things will work out because you deserve it. And if you get scared taking the big leap, know that I’m right beside you. It’s my turn to hold your hand through this.
